Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services, resilient APIs, event-driven systems, and data pipelines for high-volume financial transactions.
- Develop and operate cloud-native services and infrastructure on AWS using containers and infrastructure as code.
- Contribute to solution design and architectural decisions for distributed, transaction-critical systems.
- Own the software lifecycle from design and development through deployment, monitoring, observability, and production support.
- Apply automated testing, CI/CD, performance optimization, and AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
- Work with SQL/NoSQL databases, messaging and event streaming, and workflow orchestration for trading and settlement systems.
- Partner with product owners and domain leads to convert complex financial requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical standards, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Deep backend engineering experience with C#/.NET and REST API design.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, transactional integrity, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience designing scalable and secure services on AWS, including cloud-native patterns, containers, and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, message queues, event streaming, and complex business rules.
- Ability to influence architecture and balance scalability, performance, security, and reliability.
- Experience across deployment, observability, production support, automated testing, and performance optimization.
- Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
- Experience with React and TypeScript is a preferred but non-required qualification.
