Responsibilities
- Build and modernise scalable, high-performing customer-facing web applications and digital services.
- Lead hands-on React development, UI architecture, component design, accessibility, responsive design, and performance optimisation.
- Drive front-end technical decisions, reusable patterns, engineering standards, and micro-frontend architecture.
- Deliver solutions across the full software lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, production support, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Work with REST APIs, API contracts, generated clients, and back-end services.
- Apply automated testing, observability, monitoring, CI/CD, and engineering practices to deliver secure and reliable systems.
- Partner with product, design, engineering, and business teams to deliver strong customer outcomes.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across the team.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in React development and UI architecture with a proven record delivering modern, scalable, performant customer-facing web applications.
- Strong front-end architecture, component design, accessibility, responsive design, performance optimisation, and maintainable engineering capabilities.
- Significant experience leading front-end technical decisions and establishing patterns and engineering standards for large-scale web applications.
- Experience with or strong interest in micro-frontend architectures.
- Strong full-stack web application development experience, with React as the primary technical strength.
- Understanding of REST APIs, back-end services, API contracts, and generated clients.
- Experience with several listed technologies, including React, TypeScript, design systems, Module Federation, OpenAPI, Orval, Vitest, Playwright, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Observe, C#, or .NET.
- Willingness to develop back-end capability and take ownership across the full product lifecycle.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with product, design, and engineering teams and mentor other engineers.
