Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery across online banking applications, APIs, and microservices.
- Design, develop, test, debug, and remediate software systems.
- Translate architecture and business requirements into practical, maintainable engineering solutions.
- Provide technical direction, conduct design and code reviews, and coach engineers.
- Champion clean code, automated testing, CI/CD, secure engineering, and Azure DevOps deployment practices.
- Design for performance, scalability, security, resilience, accessibility, and observability.
- Identify technical debt and improve platform reliability.
- Support production services through incident investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution of priority issues.
- Participate in an on-call roster when required.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years at Senior or Lead level.
- Strong commercial experience with React and Java Spring Boot.
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices, Kafka, and event-driven architecture.
- Strong CI/CD, Azure DevOps, and cloud deployment experience.
- Knowledge of secure coding, SAST, vulnerability management, and dependency management.
- Experience supporting business-critical applications in production.
- Experience using modern AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or equivalent.
- Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, agentic workflows, evaluation, and responsible AI.
- Ability to coach engineers and lead technical delivery without formal people-management responsibility.
