Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and enhance Mainframe applications using COBOL and DB2.
- Develop and enhance DB2 Native Stored Procedures for business requirements.
- Analyze functional and technical specifications and provide optimal solutions.
- Write efficient SQL queries and optimize DB2 database performance.
- Perform impact analysis, code reviews, unit testing, and defect resolution.
- Support application modernization and enhancement initiatives.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and testing teams.
- Follow coding standards, security guidelines, and development best practices.
- Participate in release deployments and post-production support activities.
Requirements
- Strong experience in COBOL-DB2 application development.
- Hands-on expertise in DB2 Native Stored Procedures.
- Knowledge of JCL, VSAM, and Mainframe Utilities.
- Strong SQL and DB2 database knowledge.
- Experience with application debugging and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies and Agile development environments.
