Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and technology requirements and design appropriate solutions.
- Prepare technical specifications, design details, and documentation for new features and enhancements.
- Write, test, review, deploy, maintain, and support software solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to improve quality, maintainability, and consistency.
- Collaborate with testing teams to validate software against defined quality standards.
- Resolve or escalate technical issues and provide technical support to team members.
- Participate in Agile delivery activities including stand-ups, planning sessions, requirements discussions, and reviews.
- Communicate technical progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions to stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve development processes, performance, operational efficiency, and responsible technology resource use.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of professional experience in software development or a related technical development role.
- Proficiency in one or more of Java, Python, or Node.js, with the ability to write maintainable, testable, and deployable code.
- Strong understanding of at least one technology area: mobile, cloud, IoT, or blockchain.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle practices and Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience using Git, JIRA, and Confluence in software development projects.
- Understanding of cloud application environments, services, infrastructure, and deployment considerations.
- Understanding of data requirements, data flows, and data handling in software solutions.
- Awareness of secure software development, access control, data protection, and application security requirements.
- Experience preparing technical specifications and detailed documentation and participating in code reviews and technical issue resolution.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with multiple technology areas, relational or non-relational databases, SQL, cloud-native or managed cloud services, automated testing, continuous integration and delivery, deployment automation, APIs, distributed systems, authentication, authorization, encryption, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation.
- Experience in financial services, technology, consulting, or other complex software development environments is preferred.
