Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical backend services using Java and Python.
- Architect scalable, resilient, secure distributed systems for enterprise workloads.
- Lead technical design, architecture reviews, and engineering best practices across multiple teams.
- Design and implement APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems focused on performance and reliability.
- Develop integrations with ServiceNow using modern integration patterns and APIs.
- Contribute to ServiceNow Scoped Applications.
- Design and implement AI-powered and conversational workflows for enterprise productivity and automation.
- Mentor engineers, conduct design and code reviews, and drive engineering excellence.
- Collaborate with product management, AI, and platform teams to deliver enterprise solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience with extensive hands-on development in Java and Python.
- Experience designing and delivering mission-critical, high-availability products for enterprise customers.
- Strong expertise in distributed systems, microservices architecture, asynchronous processing, messaging systems, and REST APIs.
- Experience designing software for high throughput, scalability, resiliency, and fault tolerance.
- Understanding of software design principles, testing methodologies, observability, and production operations.
- Strong communication, technical leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Experience with ServiceNow and conversational AI technologies is highly desirable.
