Base Salary
$266k - $372k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement personalized content discovery algorithms for Reddit Notifications.
- Drive the vision and long-term roadmap for the notifications relevance team.
- Develop and improve candidate retrieval, ranking models, budget optimization, and other recommendation pipeline components.
- Deploy ML models, integrate LLMs, establish robust monitoring, and ensure smooth product integration.
- Serve as the primary ML domain expert and drive architectural decisions for systems operating at scale.
- Collaborate with ML, Product, Infrastructure, Data Science, and cross-functional organizational teams.
- Mentor and guide senior and staff engineers.
- Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional leads to balance operational improvements with strategic technical objectives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of industry experience with deep expertise in large-scale recommendation systems; notifications experience is preferred.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities, define roadmaps, and drive scalable improvements in notifications relevance.
- Strong experience building and deploying large-scale machine learning models with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Production experience with LLMs and generative AI for recommendation systems.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming with Python and Golang.
- Experience with state-of-the-art model architectures is a major plus.
- Experience building production agentic AI frameworks is a major plus.
