Responsibilities
- Design and modify reusable components for CBC/Radio-Canada digital platforms, including audio/video player components.
- Develop and maintain complex, high-performance iOS applications for products available on mobile, tablet, and TV form factors.
- Ensure application performance under high loads and maintain product quality and compliance with development standards.
- Participate in Agile Scrum activities, sprint planning, retrospectives, user-story development, code reviews, and application deployments.
- Propose solutions to technical challenges and stay informed about trends in digital development.
- Work closely with product owners, architects, and technical managers to coordinate technical delivery of requested features.
Requirements
- A university degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of software development experience.
- Experience developing complex and high-performance mobile applications.
- Proficiency with Xcode, Git, and Swift.
- Experience developing an application published on the App Store.
- Experience working with code reviews and pull requests.
- Knowledge of MVC, MVP, or MVVM programming patterns.
- Ability to read, produce, and follow software architecture diagrams such as UML and sequence diagrams.
- Knowledge of SwiftUI and Combine.
- Knowledge of AVPlayer, CoreData, Alamofire, and CocoaPods, including designing or maintaining internal pods, is an asset.
- Knowledge of web audio-video streaming, additional programming languages, SOLID principles, and design patterns is an asset.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, teamwork, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual written and spoken English and French is mandatory.
- Candidates may be required to complete skills and knowledge testing and a criminal record check.
