Responsibilities
- Design and modify reusable components for CBC/Radio-Canada digital platforms, including audio/video players.
- Develop and coordinate front-end features for the OTT platform powering CBC Gem and ICI TOU.TV.
- Ensure product quality, standards compliance, application performance, and high-load handling.
- Propose solutions to development challenges and stay current with digital development trends.
- Participate in user-story development, sprint planning, retrospectives, code reviews, deployments, and production-project reviews.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, technical managers, and development teams.
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of software development experience.
- Experience developing complex, high-performance mobile applications.
- Proficiency in Android Studio, Git, and Kotlin.
- Experience developing an application published on Google Play.
- Experience working with code reviews and pull requests.
- Knowledge of MVP or MVVM programming patterns and the ability to interpret and produce software architecture diagrams.
- Interest in applications supporting mobile, tablet, and TV form factors.
- Bilingual English and French communication skills are mandatory, with advanced French and intermediate English specified.
- Knowledge of SOLID principles, Jetpack Compose, ExoPlayer, Kotlin Multiplatform, Dagger, Hilt, Koin, Google architecture components, Maven, web audio/video streaming, or other programming languages is an asset.
- Candidates may be required to complete skills and knowledge testing and a criminal record check.
