Responsibilities
- Design and modify reusable components for CBC/Radio-Canada digital platforms, including audio/video player components.
- Develop complex, high-performance Android applications for mobile, tablet, and TV form factors.
- Ensure product quality, standards compliance, application performance, and readiness for high loads.
- Participate in Agile Scrum activities, user-story development, sprint planning, retrospectives, deployments, and code reviews.
- Propose solutions to technical challenges and stay current with digital development trends.
Requirements
- A university degree or equivalent experience is required.
- At least 3 years of software development experience is required.
- Experience developing complex and high-performance mobile applications is required.
- Proficiency with Android Studio, Git, and Kotlin is required.
- Experience developing an application published on Google Play is required.
- Experience working in a code-review and pull-request context is required.
- Knowledge of programming patterns such as MVP or MVVM is required.
- Bilingual written and spoken English and French is mandatory.
- Knowledge of SOLID principles, UML and sequence diagrams, Jetpack Compose, ExoPlayer, Kotlin Multiplatform, Dagger, Hilt, Koin, Google architecture components, Maven, streaming, design patterns, or other programming languages is an asset.
- Strong communication, teamwork, analytical thinking, initiative, resourcefulness, flexibility, and priority-setting skills are expected.
