Responsibilities
- Design and modify reusable components for CBC/Radio-Canada digital platforms, including audio/video player components.
- Develop and coordinate front-end product features for the OTT platform powering CBC Gem and ICI Tou.TV.
- Ensure product quality, standards compliance, application performance, and high-load readiness.
- Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, Agile Scrum reviews, code reviews, application deployments, and solution deployments.
- Develop user stories, troubleshoot challenges, propose solutions, and measure completed project results.
- Stay current with digital development trends and contribute to continuous improvement of the applications.
Requirements
- A university degree or equivalent experience is required.
- At least 3 years of software development experience is required.
- Experience developing complex, high-performance mobile applications and an application published on the App Store is required.
- Proficiency with Xcode, Git, and Swift is required.
- Experience working with code reviews and pull requests is required.
- Knowledge of MVC, MVP, MVVM, SOLID principles, software architecture diagrams, and design patterns is required or beneficial.
- Knowledge of SwiftUI, Combine, AVPlayer, CoreData, AlamoFire, and CocoaPods is beneficial.
- Experience with audio-video web streaming, other programming languages, and applications spanning mobile, tablet, and TV form factors is beneficial.
- Bilingual spoken and written English and French proficiency is mandatory.
- Candidates must demonstrate analytical thinking, communication, teamwork, initiative, independence, resourcefulness, and the ability to manage priorities and stress.
