Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve scalable microservices and product features.
- Own the quality, resilience, maintainability, and full lifecycle operation of team services.
- Design and implement highly available, low-latency, and consistent backend services.
- Collaborate with product designers, product owners, frontend, backend, and mobile engineers.
- Identify process improvements, document and advocate for development best practices, fix bugs, and refactor code.
- Participate in experimentation, innovation, and knowledge sharing through Technical Week.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience, specifically with object-oriented programming.
- 3+ years of experience working with customer-facing products, such as e-commerce, fintech, or SaaS.
- Experience designing, implementing, and deploying backend services.
- Good understanding of API design, SQL, and relational databases.
- Excellent English communication skills and the ability to collaborate, take initiative, document work, and learn new technologies.
- Prior Ruby experience is not essential, provided the candidate is motivated to learn.
