Responsibilities
- Fix defects and develop new features or enhancements under supervision.
- Write basic tests of small scope and complexity.
- Contribute to API documentation and peer code reviews.
- Follow coding standards and software development lifecycle processes.
- Understand designated product-area designs and how key systems interoperate.
- Participate in release preparations and learn relevant business and industry concepts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
- At least 2 years of professional Java development experience.
- Experience with OS X, Linux, Spring, AWS, SQL, NoSQL, and Git.
- Familiarity with web application development and the full stack of web development.
- Understanding of secure application programming practices, common design patterns, and software development concepts.
- Ability to solve business problems and write clear, concise documentation.
- Preferred experience designing and building JSON or REST services, working with third-party APIs and AWS APIs, Docker or other containers, large-scale or distributed web applications, test-driven development, and functional testing.
- Experience working in Scrum and DevOps environments and understanding of the agile application development lifecycle.
