Base Salary
$160k - $234k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product managers to build proof-of-concepts.
- Lead end-to-end research in advanced computer vision and machine learning techniques.
- Design and implement responsible, privacy-preserving models for visual data analysis.
- Develop performance metrics for CVML models and validate their effectiveness.
- Optimize algorithms for performance and energy efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest CVML research and apply findings to Axon products.
- Contribute to academic publications and technical documentation.
- Coach and mentor junior scientists.
Requirements
- PhD and 3+ years of experience in Computer Science or related fields.
- Proven track record of research in machine learning and computer vision.
- Experience in the ML development lifecycle and delivering high-quality models.
- Strong fundamentals in computer vision techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Python and frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.
- Strong communication skills for presenting technical concepts.
- Experience with algorithms for resource-constrained devices is preferred.
