Base Salary
$169k - $216k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop reliable C++ firmware for spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule operations throughout the mission.
- Own software design, development, testing, integration, verification, and validation.
- Capture requirements and perform initial design trades for open-ended spacecraft software problems.
- Develop bare-metal, RTOS-based, or Linux-based software for embedded processors.
- Build highly reliable and available software systems and provide flight operational support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
- 5+ years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
- Experience developing and testing real-time embedded hardware and software systems.
- Experience developing in C++ with a strong understanding of C++ language concepts.
- Preferred qualifications include aerospace safety-critical software experience, Python or Rust experience, and knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, data structures, and computer networking.
