Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering software solutions for Software-Defined Vehicle infotainment applications and services.
- Design, develop, and implement infotainment requirements in Android, QNX, and Linux environments.
- Apply software design principles, design patterns, and abstractions to create effective software solutions.
- Support data handling, analysis, application logic, automation, prototyping, testing, debugging, and issue documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineers to translate mechatronics and user-experience concepts into prototypes and implementation plans.
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, project planning, and progress communication.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Must be enrolled in a co-op program and meet its eligibility requirements.
- Must be available to work full time, 40 hours per week, for a consecutive 12-month term beginning January 2027.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and not require sponsorship now or in the future.
- Preferred experience includes Kotlin, Java, C, C++, Jetpack Compose, Jira, Git, object-oriented software development, algorithms, and data structures.
- Preferred knowledge includes CAN, LIN, ARXML, and Ethernet communication protocols, as well as automotive projects or clubs such as Formula SAE or Ecocar.
