Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teams across user space, kernel, firmware, and hardware.
- Work with partner companies to build solutions for real end-user issues.
- Participate in code and design reviews to ensure efficient, high-quality code.
- Create differentiating software features such as AMD Fluid Motion Frames, AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution, and FreeSync.
- Develop high-performance and efficient computing solutions for next-generation Ryzen and Radeon Graphics chips.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in a Canada-based university bachelor's degree program in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Software Development, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Skills in C/C++ programming and object-oriented design are encouraged.
- Experience or knowledge with Qt, JavaScript, operating systems concepts, memory management, multithreading, assembly, or x86 is encouraged.
- Knowledge of computer graphics pipelines such as Direct3D, OpenGL, or OpenCL is encouraged.
- Knowledge of computer architecture or firmware development is encouraged.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, or Perforce is encouraged.
- Additional scripting or development skills in Python, Windows PowerShell, Linux shell script, Perl, Java, or UML are encouraged.
- PC assembly and gaming ecosystem knowledge is encouraged.
Benefits
- 12-month term from May 3, 2027, to April 21, 2028, or 16-month term from May 3, 2027, to August 18, 2028.
- Full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week in a hybrid or onsite work structure.
