Responsibilities

  • Define security architecture and oversee distributed web services that enforce policy across product development, manufacturing, deployment, and operation.
  • Shape Apple product security direction and drive alignment across engineering and executive stakeholders.
  • Perform security analysis across hardware, software, and web service architectures to develop comprehensive threat models.
  • Analyze industry and regulatory trends to inform security policy for product designs.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives across Infrastructure, Privacy, Safety, Service, Manufacturing, Software, and Product Development.
  • Provide architectural guidance and present complex security concepts to senior executive leadership and teams without resident security expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with secure boot and establishing hardware roots of trust, or with designing, developing, and deploying secure web services and scalable infrastructure for highly available applications.
  • Experience with Python, Go, or C/C++.
  • Experience collaborating across software engineering, hardware, infrastructure, and other disciplines.
  • Preferred: 20+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related relevant field.
  • Knowledge of cryptographic principles, PKI frameworks, and threat-modeling methodologies such as STRIDE or Trike.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional security initiatives, analyze regulatory trends, communicate complex concepts to executives, and use AI-assisted workflows.
