Software Engineer II, Analytics Operations

- Support, maintain, and enhance PDS data products, ETL pipelines, and analytics/UI applications.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents while maintaining availability, reliability, and SLA adherence.
- Develop pipeline enhancements, bug fixes, and operational automation to improve performance, scalability, and efficiency.
- Develop and enhance React-based UI applications according to business requirements.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and operational stability through validation, monitoring, root cause analysis, and proactive issue resolution.
- Work with the cloud engineering team on cloud infrastructure management.
- Collaborate with analytics engineering, cloud engineering, and business teams on feature releases, production deployments, and continuous improvements.
- Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and operational documentation.
- Apply modern data and AI technologies to improve operational excellence.
Requirements
- Requires 3–5 years of experience in operations and production support and process optimization.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Glue and Databricks.
- Proficiency with SQL, Spark, and Python.
- Knowledge of data engineering tools including AWS and Airflow.
- Experience with version control such as Git or SVN.
- Familiarity with AI agents, Agentic AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and AI-assisted development.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, Microsoft suites, Oracle, Redshift, PostgreSQL, CDP Impala, and Athena is desired.
- Knowledge of dbt, React, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python APIs, and FastAPI is desirable.
- A background in Computer Science, Physics, Math, Pharmaceutical Science, or Engineering is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills are required.
- Experience in global life sciences, GPS functional areas, international teams, or globally dispersed technical development teams is a plus.
