Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, transformations, and models for trusted operational and business datasets.
  • Build and operate solutions using Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouse, Spark, Power BI semantic models, and Azure data services.
  • Ingest and curate support and field-service data, including incidents, tickets, chats, problem management, quality, user, inventory, and survey data.
  • Create dimensional and semantic models with consistent definitions, relationships, hierarchies, and business logic.
  • Implement automated data-quality controls, metadata management, data lineage, governance, security, monitoring, and observability.
  • Define secure data contracts and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders on scalable data products.
  • Improve platform performance, refresh latency, resiliency, maintainability, capacity utilization, and cloud cost efficiency.
  • Contribute to deployment automation, source control, testing frameworks, operational tooling, and live-site incident response.
  • Analyze usage of reports, measures, and columns to support reporting-portfolio rationalization and modernization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing, developing, or operating production data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Experience with automated deployment processes for cloud data platforms, SQL, and at least one data engineering language or framework such as Python, PySpark, Spark, or Scala.
  • Understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, analytical data consumption, data validation, testing, monitoring, and production operations.
  • Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical designs and data products and collaborating across engineering, product, program, and business teams.
  • Experience building enterprise data solutions with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, notebooks, Dataflows Gen2, or Direct Lake.
  • Knowledge of enterprise security and governance practices, including role-based access control, row-level security, privacy, auditing, and retention.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric capacity management, performance tuning, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Preferred qualifications include Power BI semantic model development, DAX, Delta Lake, medallion architecture, schema evolution, data contracts, Microsoft Purview, live-site incident response, reporting modernization, and relevant enterprise business-domain experience.
