Responsibilities
- Wear different hats across the research-to-production lifecycle.
- Own and evolve research infrastructure end-to-end.
- Build and scale distributed compute for research workloads.
- Improve the speed and quality of R&D through performance engineering.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation of research and products.
- Participate in decision-making for medium-to-long-term vision.
- Mentor peers and delegate tasks within the team.
- Act as a point of contact between Research and Production engineering teams.
Requirements
- 4+ years of progressive relevant work experience.
- Experience in leading projects and owning delivery end-to-end.
- Background as a Software Engineer or Machine Learning Engineer in an ML R&D environment.
- Understanding of ML and ML-Ops concepts.
- Fluency in a high-level programming language, preferably Python.
- Solid understanding of lower-level programming languages such as C++ and Rust.
- Strong engineering profile with a general scientific understanding.
- Natural curiosity and desire to learn and problem-solve.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
