Responsibilities
- Develop new customer-facing Filestore features and enhance existing infrastructure for improved reliability and new requirements.
- Develop features, infrastructure, and performance improvements in a complex distributed and performance-sensitive system.
- Collaborate with filesystem engineering teams and partners across program management, CP, DP, SRE, and UX/UI.
- Help grow and mentor the team and contribute to architecture and design decisions.
- Work with product teams and customers to address future requirements.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Two years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or one year of experience with an advanced degree.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: two years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: software development experience in Java.
- Preferred: knowledge of clustered, distributed, and concurrent programming.
- Preferred: familiarity with cloud computing concepts and technologies, filesystems, and storage.
- Preferred: good understanding of distributed systems principles and concepts.
