Base Salary
$150k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of AWS cloud-native solutions using services including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, EKS, IAM, and VPC.
- Design secure, scalable, resilient, highly available, fault-tolerant, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure for business-critical systems.
- Influence architectural decisions, technical patterns, delivery plans, backlogs, and implementation approaches across multiple engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and platform issues spanning multiple systems and technology layers.
- Lead root-cause analysis for significant incidents and drive remediation that improves reliability, resiliency, and operational maturity.
- Partner with Security and Compliance teams on PCI-DSS, SOC 2, FFIEC, regulatory, risk, and audit requirements.
- Implement infrastructure as code and automation using Terraform and related tooling, while advancing CI/CD practices.
- Improve vulnerability management, configuration compliance, patching, and hardening activities.
- Design observability solutions using logging, metrics, dashboards, tracing, and alerting for cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Create technical documentation, standards, and implementation guidance, and mentor engineers across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or a demonstrated portfolio consistent with the required experience.
- Typically 12 years of experience or equivalent portfolio in cloud engineering, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or related technical roles.
- Typically 4 years of hands-on experience or equivalent portfolio working in AWS environments supporting business-critical systems.
- Deep expertise in AWS compute, storage, networking, identity, container orchestration, and managed database services.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, container platforms, Docker, and Linux environments.
- Experience designing and delivering large-scale business-critical systems and cloud platform capabilities.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
- Experience implementing security and compliance controls aligned with PCI-DSS, SOC 2, FFIEC, or similar frameworks.
- Experience building and automating observability solutions at scale for complex transactional systems.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, or AppDynamics.
- Experience leading complex cloud modernization or migration efforts across multiple teams is preferred.
- A master’s degree, relevant cloud certifications, container and workload security experience, programming or scripting experience, and FinTech, banking, payments, or regulated-industry experience are preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, prioritization, collaboration, and technical leadership skills are required.
- Background and drug screen are required.
