Responsibilities
- Embed with enterprise customers to understand communications workflows, AI use cases, and integration challenges.
- Design, build, deploy, and support custom implementations using Telnyx APIs, AI voice assistants, WebRTC, and communications services.
- Deploy and operate LiteLLM and self-hosted or hosted LLM solutions, including model routing, fallbacks, usage governance, and observability.
- Build production observability with metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting, and runbooks.
- Lead technical discovery, architecture, POCs, pilots, production launches, customer handoffs, and troubleshooting.
- Adapt models and build prompt, retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluation pipelines for Arabic and English use cases.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape the roadmap using field insights from the UAE and GCC.
- Own customer outcomes until solutions are live and stable, including resolving complex integration issues with customer teams.
Requirements
- CS degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience building and shipping production software used by real users.
- Proficiency in Python, Node.js/TypeScript, and Go.
- Understanding of production LLM concerns including rate limits, retries, streaming, token accounting, cost attribution, and concurrency failure modes.
- Experience deploying containerized services on Kubernetes with secrets management, configuration, and upgrades.
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Graylog, or ELK.
- High-concurrency experience with Kafka, message queues, or event streams, including partitioning, consumer groups, and backpressure.
- Experience building APIs with OpenAPI, REST or GraphQL, authentication, rate limiting, versioning, and idempotency.
- Exposure to SIP, WebRTC, or real-time voice and messaging systems.
- Customer-facing engineering experience, strong independent judgment, and the ability to lead technical discussions and troubleshoot root causes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Arabic.
- Based in Dubai or willing to relocate, with willingness to work on customer sites and travel across the UAE and GCC.
- Bonus qualifications include AI voice, speech-to-text/text-to-speech, LLM gateway, model-serving, SQL, ETL, CI/CD, telecom or CPaaS, sovereign cloud, UAE/GCC regulatory, and security experience.
