Responsibilities
- Design, modernize, and operate enterprise applications and cloud platforms across AWS and Azure.
- Own end-to-end full-stack application architecture across Java/Spring Boot backends and Angular or React frontends.
- Design distributed systems, microservices, REST and event-driven APIs, API/BFF patterns, and resilient cloud architectures.
- Engineer cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, observability, security, reliability, and large-scale modernization initiatives.
- Implement infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Design and operate AWS services including EC2, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, S3, EBS, EFS, Glacier, VPC, Route 53, ELB, Direct Connect, RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift, IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.
- Work with containerization, orchestration, deployment automation, configuration management, and CI/CD tooling.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience designing, modernizing, and operating enterprise applications or cloud platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS and Azure core services and cloud architecture.
- Strong Java and Spring Boot experience with microservices, distributed-system design, concurrency, caching, resiliency, idempotency, and failure/recovery patterns.
- Experience with MongoDB Atlas and relational or data-lake platforms, including data modeling, indexing, consistency, performance, and high-volume operational workloads.
- Experience owning full-stack architecture with Angular or React frontends, API/BFF patterns, authentication, performance, and scalability.
- Experience with AWS CloudFormation or Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN, along with cloud security best practices.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification is preferred.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS is preferred.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline is preferred.
- Proficiency with Python, Bash, or PowerShell is preferred.
- Experience with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet is preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment is preferred.
