Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain COBOL, JCL, and DB2-based applications on IBM z/OS.
- Integrate mainframe services with distributed systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Lead modernization efforts, including event-driven architecture migration and API enablement.
- Ensure compliance with Mastercard’s Mainframe Security Technical Standard.
- Participate in daily change request syncs, operational reviews, and on-call duties.
- Contribute to Software Engineering Guild leveling and performance standards.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of mainframe development experience with IBM z/OS, COBOL, JCL, DB2, and SQL.
- Strong understanding of z/OS architecture and batch processing.
- Experience with file transfer gateways and integration layers.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across global teams and time zones.
- Passion for modernization and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of Mastercard’s Bill Pay Products is preferred.
