Responsibilities
- Define and drive backend architecture for enterprise applications.
- Design and build scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices.
- Lead technical discussions, architectural reviews, and solution design sessions.
- Establish architecture standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Review application designs and code for scalability, maintainability, and quality.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching to development teams.
- Drive performance optimization, application reliability, and system resilience.
- Evaluate technologies, make architectural decisions, and support strategic initiative delivery.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, product owners, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- 15+ years of software development experience with strong Java expertise.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
- Expertise in enterprise integration patterns and distributed, scalable, highly available systems.
- Experience with SQL databases and data modeling.
- Knowledge of design patterns, object-oriented programming, and clean architecture principles.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS is advantageous.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native development is desirable.
- Experience with performance tuning, application monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience leading technical teams and driving architectural decisions across multiple teams.
- Experience in product-based technology organizations and exposure to financial services, investment management, wealth management, banking, asset management, or financial technology platforms is preferred.
- Experience modernizing monolithic applications into microservices is preferred.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP is advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, problem-solving, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
