Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex full-stack web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js.
- Build responsive frontend components and scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices.
- Own technical solutions end to end, including architecture, development, testing, deployment, observability, and post-release improvement.
- Design and optimize MongoDB data models, queries, integrations, and persistence patterns.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate coding, debugging, documentation, testing, and root-cause analysis.
- Drive AI-first development practices and integrate AI-powered capabilities such as LLM workflows, assistants, recommendations, and automation where relevant.
- Create and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end test coverage.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and monitor application health, reliability, and performance.
- Partner with Product, Design, Data, Security, and platform teams to deliver customer experiences.
- Participate in code and design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and help establish architecture, security, performance, scalability, and developer-productivity practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack web development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript across frontend and backend development.
- Production-grade experience with the MERN stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js.
- Strong experience with React, state management, component design, and API integration.
- Backend experience with Node.js, API design, authentication, authorization, and service integration.
- Experience with MongoDB database design, schema modeling, indexing, and performance optimization.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and preferably with AI-enabled capabilities such as LLM features, prompt workflows, embeddings, semantic search, or automation services.
- Understanding of software design patterns, modular architecture, and scalable distributed systems.
- Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience with CI/CD automation, GitHub, and modern engineering workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, and deployment environments is preferred.
- Exposure to observability, experimentation, feature flags, and modern release strategies is a plus.
- Strong debugging, performance-tuning, communication, ownership, collaboration, and prioritization skills.
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction beyond individual feature ownership is a plus.
