Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and operate reliable, scalable self-service cloud platforms.
- Improve the reliability, scalability, efficiency, and security compliance of cloud products and services.
- Strengthen observability through monitoring and alerting practices.
- Respond to cloud incidents, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and maintain incident response plans.
- Analyze system performance and optimize resource utilization and application performance.
- Improve CI/CD processes to increase deployment velocity and reliability.
- Develop and maintain automation that reduces manual operational work and improves system reliability.
- Collaborate with internal customers, partners, and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- 3+ years of programming experience with Go or Python.
- 3+ years of experience implementing large-scale, distributed, highly available, fault-tolerant systems and infrastructure in production.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes in an SRE or related cloud infrastructure role.
- Experience with observability tools and practices focused on reliability and performance.
- Strong understanding of API design and RESTful principles, including building web services at scale.
- Experience delivering products in cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in high-traffic, large-scale environments.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and application lifecycle management or CI/CD is beneficial.
- Kubernetes, lifecycle management, or related certifications are beneficial.
- Familiarity with additional programming languages or frameworks and participation in open-source standards or projects are beneficial.
