Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of priority IPB AI/ML use cases from problem framing and business case development through deployed, monitored production services.
- Lead the engineering build of agentic AI and LLM-powered products for International Private Bank advisors and clients.
- Set engineering quality standards through code reviews, technical design, and collaboration with junior engineers.
- Establish and operate responsible AI controls, including guardrails, evaluation frameworks, observability, and model risk controls.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify AI/ML opportunities and shape them into funded workstreams.
- Represent the AIML team in AI/ML governance and engineering forums while addressing cross-border, regulatory, and data-privacy considerations.
- Contribute to GenAI education through training, knowledge sharing, and mentoring of junior engineers and interns.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and expert applied experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices, including testing, design patterns, code review, and version control.
- Fluent use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot in day-to-day software development.
- Hands-on experience building, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models into production.
- Practical experience with large language models, prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, and agentic frameworks.
- Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for ML or data-intensive systems.
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging senior business stakeholders.
- Experience solving complex technology problems across multiple technical disciplines.
- MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Preferred experience with CI/CD, containerization, cloud-native deployment patterns, financial services technology, Databricks, Kubernetes, ML or cloud platforms, AI governance, model validation, or guardrail frameworks.
