Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain applications and tools for managing and exposing network resources.
- Develop React.js user interfaces for Telstra’s network inventory across physical, logical, and service layers.
- Design and develop APIs supporting integration across applications and network platforms.
- Apply UX design principles, standards, and best practices to create effective user experiences.
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo, Git/Bitbucket, and CodePipeline.
- Engage stakeholders to gather requirements and translate customer needs into technical solutions.
- Contribute to software engineering, systems, process, and testing improvements while working within Agile, DevOps, Lean, and Human-Centred Design practices.
- Support professional learning, technical documentation, and adherence to Telstra health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum four years of overall software or application engineering experience.
- Minimum two years of hands-on API design and development experience.
- Strong hands-on proficiency with React.js and Docker.
- Experience applying UX design standards and best practices.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development workflows.
- Understanding of Agile and DevOps software delivery practices, including Jira and Confluence.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Experience developing network-centric tools and systems is highly desirable.
- Experience with Camunda and gRPC or event-triggered automation is advantageous.
