Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of cloud architectures, platform services, and systems integrations.
- Define platform strategy and architectural standards for infrastructure, deployment, observability, reliability, and operational readiness.
- Own production-system reliability, scalability, security, maintainability, and continuous improvement.
- Lead complex cross-team initiatives and technology roadmaps while aligning technical investments with product priorities.
- Improve engineering velocity, developer experience, service reliability, cloud efficiency, and quality across teams.
- Establish engineering practices through architecture reviews, design documents, code reviews, test automation, operational standards, and measurable service objectives.
- Mentor senior and experienced engineers and provide technical guidance across teams.
- Partner with engineering and product leadership to evaluate trade-offs, manage technical risk, and communicate technical direction.
- Participate in on-call rotation and improve incident response, post-incident learning, operational readiness, and recurrence prevention.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or closely related production engineering roles, or equivalent depth of hands-on production experience.
- Strong software engineering capability and Computer Science foundations.
- 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes and Linux container tools.
- 4+ years of experience with CI/CD and GitOps workflows and tooling.
- 3+ years of experience with Python and Python web development.
- Experience setting technical direction and designing architecture for complex cloud and platform systems used by multiple teams.
- Experience owning production systems end to end, including reliability, scalability, security, maintainability, and continuous improvement.
- Experience operating production cloud services, including incident response, troubleshooting, and on-call responsibilities.
- Experience leading cross-team initiatives, coordinating technology roadmaps, managing technical risk, and influencing without formal authority.
- Experience mentoring senior engineers and improving engineering practices through architectural guidance, technical reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Strong curiosity, proactivity, systems understanding, and ability to identify and propose improvements.
- Experience with Django, Django REST Framework, Google Cloud Platform, low-latency customer-facing applications, workflow orchestration tools, Terraform, cloud cost optimization, FinOps, or PostgreSQL is a strong plus.
- Advanced English is required for communication with US clients and explanation of technical trade-offs.
