Base Salary
$195k - $343k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build next-generation advertising formats, backend infrastructure, and delivery solutions to improve clicks, conversions, and advertiser value.
- Work end-to-end on advertising product and infrastructure ideas, including experimentation, analysis, and optimization.
- Collaborate across teams to understand requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver products and services for Snap’s performance advertising suite.
- Apply best practices for availability, scalability, operational excellence, and cost management.
- Provide technical direction and influence engineering projects across the company.
- Mentor collaborators and help solve ambiguous technical problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or another technical field, or equivalent years of experience.
- 9+ years of post-bachelor’s software development experience, or a master’s degree plus 8+ years of post-graduate software development experience, or a PhD in a related technical field plus 5+ years of post-graduate software development experience.
- At least 1 year of technical leadership or ownership experience, including setting technical direction for engineering projects.
- Excellent programming and software design skills, including debugging, performance analysis, and test design.
- Proven experience operating highly available systems at scale.
- Preferred qualifications include large-scale attribution and measurement projects, backend services or distributed systems, significant-scale systems, and advertising domain experience.
