Responsibilities
- Develop commercial cloud software and applications across the development lifecycle.
- Design operational dashboards and monitor metrics to improve process performance, reliability, and security.
- Develop automated runbooks for operational tasks and support escalations.
- Serve as an operations contact for developers and customers.
- Document and review incidents, resolutions, and team knowledge.
- Manage CI/CD tools and workflows with the team.
- Improve infrastructure development and application development processes.
- Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations.
- Test implemented designs and follow company best practices and procedures.
- Build relationships with peers and prioritize assigned work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer applications, or equivalent.
- Good experience in a software product development environment.
- Experience with customer-facing operations on cloud and mobile platforms.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, Go, and Bash, including algorithms, data structures, and automation optimization.
- Experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Experience with software infrastructure management using Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Experience deploying CloudOps or SRE practices.
- Experience with Git and GitHub, including developing and maintaining workflows.
- Preferred: four years of experience in a software product development environment.
- Preferred: knowledge of software and deployment testing methodologies and automated test tools.
- Preferred: knowledge of professional software engineering practices, coding standards, code reviews, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: knowledge of Agile development methodologies and software development on Windows and Linux.
- Preferred: experience communicating with users, technical teams, and management to gather requirements and explain product features and technical designs.
