Responsibilities
- Design and build infrastructure and internal platform systems on public cloud and Kubernetes ecosystems.
- Build and maintain reusable, versioned Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks using Terraform, Ansible, and similar tooling.
- Develop platform services, APIs, automation frameworks, and abstraction layers using Python, Go, and other programming languages.
- Analyze and resolve issues during testing and pre-production, coordinate changes across teams, and provide technical problem resolution and application support.
- Improve processes for managing cloud infrastructure lifecycles at scale and ensure designs and code align with SEI and industry standards.
- Collaborate with data architects, technical leads, team members, and project managers on technical and scheduling matters.
- Create system architecture diagrams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Requirements
- BA/BS in a related technical field or equivalent education and work experience.
- At least five years of experience combining Linux systems administration, DevOps, cloud engineering, software engineering, or related work.
- Experience with at least one cloud provider, including AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI.
- Strong experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Knowledge of Linux systems such as RHEL, Oracle Linux, or Ubuntu.
- Demonstrable Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tooling.
- Experience with Kubernetes-based platforms and cloud-native systems.
- Ability to create system architecture diagrams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work through loosely defined concepts, adapt to change, and deliver tangible results.
