Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using .NET Core and C#.
  • Develop scalable, secure, high-performance microservices and cloud-native applications on Azure.
  • Integrate Azure App Configuration, Key Vault, Redis Cache, Service Bus, Event Grid, Blob Storage, and Azure SQL.
  • Build and manage containerized applications using Azure Kubernetes Service.
  • Integrate AI agentic models, Azure OpenAI, and third-party AI services into application workflows.
  • Integrate Azure Service Bus, Kafka, and APIGEE for messaging and API management.
  • Implement GitLab and Harness CI/CD pipelines and environment-based deployment strategies.
  • Design and optimize SQL Server and Azure SQL schemas, stored procedures, indexes, and query performance.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce secure coding, observability, scalability, and engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, QA, architects, and product teams in Agile sprint delivery.
  • Track and document work using JIRA and Confluence.
  • Support production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and drive reliability improvements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional backend or full-stack .NET development experience.
  • Expertise with .NET Core and C#, including RESTful API design, middleware, filters, exception handling, and logging.
  • Knowledge of JWT and OAuth authentication and authorization concepts.
  • Experience with performance optimization, secure coding, Azure App Configuration or App Settings, Azure Key Vault, Azure Redis Cache, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL, and SQL Server.
  • Experience deploying containerized applications with Azure Kubernetes Service.
  • Experience with GitLab source control and branching strategies and Harness CI/CD pipeline configuration, automated deployments, and rollback strategies.
  • Knowledge of microservices, CQRS, DDD, event-driven architecture, API design, API gateway concepts, transaction management, and data consistency patterns.
  • Experience using JIRA for sprint planning and work-item tracking and Confluence for technical documentation.
  • Experience with SoapUI or Postman for API testing and validation.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Fiserv products experience is required.
  • Preferred experience includes ReactJS, TypeScript, Snowflake, Kafka, APIGEE, Splunk, Kendo UI or a similar enterprise component library, Azure certifications AZ-204 or AZ-900, AI/ML tools or Microsoft Copilot integration, and SSIS or data integration pipelines.
