Base Salary
$118k - $237k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, architecture, and enablement of data consumption and business intelligence tools in Google Cloud.
- Create cloud engineering solution concepts covering security, networking, access, authentication, and connectivity.
- Partner with enterprise cloud engineering, cloud security, networking, IAM, security, and compliance teams to ensure policy and regulatory alignment.
- Lead proof-of-concept activities for new tools and tool-enablement patterns.
- Evaluate emerging data technologies and recommend adoption within the cloud tool ecosystem.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of cloud engineering experience, preferably in a senior or lead capacity.
- At least 5 years leading solution architecture initiatives in public-cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of security, networking, and connectivity best practices within GCP and across public clouds.
- Ability to create clear and concise solution concept diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for developing cloud engineering solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in computer science, data science, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. preferred.
