Senior Lead Software Engineer, Back End (Java, Spring, Kafka, CI/CD, AI tools, Glue, RDS, DynamoDB)

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Create solutions that address regulatory needs and deliver scalable cloud-based customer experiences.
- Mentor engineering team members and participate in internal and external technology communities.
- Occasionally write code or evaluate code.
- Collaborate with digital product managers.
- Use Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, Scala, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools and services with open-source relational and NoSQL databases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 1 year of cloud computing experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 9+ years of experience with Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js preferred.
- 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service preferred.
- 4+ years of experience with open-source frameworks preferred.
- At least 1 year of people management experience preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience with Agile practices preferred.
- Experience using interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion preferred.
