Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to develop and deliver RDS features such as operation tickets, backup/restore, scaling, and high availability.
- Design and develop RDS platform and core components, including instance management, resource lifecycle management, monitoring and alerting, and backup/restore systems.
- Implement reliable, secure, high-performance database capabilities including automated deployment, elastic scaling, fault self-healing, and data consistency guarantees.
- Build global cross-region disaster recovery and high-availability switching capabilities for large-scale database services.
- Conduct performance and scalability testing and research improvements.
- Design and implement unit, functional, and system tests.
- Participate in product release and deployment processes.
- Solve large-scale, highly complex cloud infrastructure problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a computer-related field.
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages, such as Golang or Python.
- Demonstrated coding practices including clean code, refactoring, and unit testing.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks and tools such as Django, Flask, Gin, and Kitex.
- Familiarity with database management and internal database implementation mechanisms.
- Preferred experience with HTTP, RESTful API design, JSON/Protobuf serialization, and middleware development.
- Preferred knowledge of microservice architecture, service discovery, load balancing, RPC frameworks, and distributed configuration centers.
- Preferred experience with database kernels, database middleware, or database management platforms, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, HBase, or ClickHouse.
- Strong technical motivation, communication, teamwork, analysis, and problem-solving skills are preferred.
