Base Salary
$200k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build performant and scalable backend applications using object-oriented programming languages in a cloud-based microservice architecture.
- Shape the technical architecture of products and own technical solutions for new product requirements.
- Deliver highly available and scalable services in production environments.
- Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product management, operations, and peer technical teams to deliver impactful products.
- Mentor team members and help foster a learning environment.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline, with three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Any suitable combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable.
- Three years of experience with AWS cloud services, messaging and streaming systems using Apache Kafka and AWS SQS, Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK and CloudFormation, APIs and service interfaces using REST and gRPC, database management systems including Postgres and DynamoDB, workflow orchestration using AWS Step Functions or Temporal, and operational monitoring and alerting.
- Experience with Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Apache Airflow, TypeScript, CI/CD using CodePipeline and GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes, NB Testing, and DataDog or AWS CloudWatch.
