Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end QA activities including requirement analysis, test planning, test case design, execution, and reporting.
- Validate Snowflake tables, views, streams, and tasks where applicable for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, root-cause analysis, and test data setup.
- Test ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformations, business rules, and data quality checks.
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing for data and application features.
- Perform backend and API validation when applicable to the project.
- Log, track, and drive defects to closure in JIRA or equivalent tools with clear reproduction steps and evidence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on requirements, acceptance criteria, test coverage, and QA documentation.
- Support or build regression and data-validation automation using Python and automation frameworks as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in QA/testing roles, including manual and/or data QA.
- Strong SQL skills including joins, subqueries, window functions, aggregations, and performance-minded querying.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake querying, dataset validation, Snowflake tables, views, and stages, plus basic performance considerations.
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, QA best practices, source-to-target validation, reconciliation, duplicate checks, null checks, referential integrity, and transformation validation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Python and test automation experience are preferred.
