Responsibilities
- Build and ship reliable, high-performance, accessible frontend features across Muon Space’s unified web platform.
- Own features from design and implementation through deployment, testing, documentation, monitoring, and post-launch improvements.
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions while helping raise engineering quality.
- Collaborate with backend and product teams to define requirements.
- Monitor and improve the operational health, reliability, and performance of shipped features.
- Contribute to establishing the unified web platform as the canonical interface for mission and operational needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience, ideally with strongly typed frontend languages such as TypeScript or Flow.
- Demonstrated experience contributing to complex web applications.
- Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines and static analysis enforcement.
- Proficiency with code revision management in larger, fast-moving teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an end-user focus.
- Preferred experience includes SSR, React Server Components, isomorphic code, 3D applications, interactive mapping, geospatial data visualization, large cross-team monorepos, accessibility-focused component libraries, frontend observability, aerospace or satellite operations, and mission-critical software.
- Preferred tooling experience includes AI-assisted coding tools, GitHub Actions, Docker, Helm, Renovate, and Dependabot.
- Applicants must meet applicable U.S. export-control eligibility requirements for access to ITAR/EAR-controlled information.
