Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, design, and development of modern web and mobile applications.
Build performant, accessible, and polished user experiences with React and React Native.
Establish frontend standards for component architecture, state management, testing, accessibility, performance, and build tooling.
Drive the evolution of design systems and shared UI component libraries.
Own complex features end to end from user interfaces through APIs and backend services.
Design and implement scalable APIs and services for member-facing applications.
Optimize performance, responsiveness, reliability, and usability across web and mobile platforms.
Use analytics and user feedback to improve product experiences and help members understand complex health information.
Provide architectural guidance, technical mentorship, and engineering standards across the organization.
Lead high-impact initiatives from concept through launch and collaborate with Product, Design, Clinical, and Data teams.
Contribute to AI-powered health analysis tools and integrations of wearable, medical-record, and other health data sources.

10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant customer-facing product development experience.
Proven success leading complex technical initiatives in high-growth or startup environments.
Experience balancing hands-on development with technical leadership and mentorship.
Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, modern frontend architectures, design systems, component libraries, state management, accessibility, performance optimization, and frontend testing frameworks.
Experience building highly interactive, data-rich user interfaces and understanding mobile architecture and platform-specific considerations.
Experience designing and building APIs and backend services, with strong proficiency in Python or similar backend technologies.
Ability to work across the full application stack and integrate third-party services and external data platforms.
Strong product instincts and experience collaborating closely with Product and Design teams.
Strong understanding of software architecture, scalable system design, maintainable code, and engineering quality practices.
Preferred: advanced React, React Native, and TypeScript expertise; large-scale consumer application experience; data visualization and analytics experience; familiarity with GCP and Postgres; AI or machine learning product integration experience; and startup experience as an early engineering hire, founder, or technical leader.
