Base Salary
$87k - $198k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, debug, and enhance legacy enterprise applications.
- Develop and sustain Python applications, including concurrent or multi-process systems.
- Work with real-time, event-driven, distributed, and microservices architectures, including queues and producer or consumer pipelines.
- Use AWS cloud services to operate and enhance applications.
- Design, debug, and test software components against design specifications using unit or integration testing.
- Upgrade systems to meet security requirements and support DevSecOps practices.
- Lead design and code reviews and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Advise clients on improving and modernizing existing systems.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience developing and sustaining Python applications, including concurrent or multi-process systems, in an Agile environment.
- Experience with real-time or event-driven architectures, queues, producer or consumer pipelines, distributed systems, or microservices.
- Experience with AWS services including S3, Batch, Lambda, or Step Functions.
- Experience designing, debugging, and testing software components, including unit or integration testing.
- Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps environments.
- Ability to lead design and code reviews and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Preferred experience with AWS Batch, ECR, Step Functions, OpenSearch, SQS/SNS, or Kinesis.
- Preferred experience applying statistical or optimization methods such as similarity scoring, probabilistic matching, or optimal assignment algorithms.
- Preferred experience with Flask or another lightweight Python web framework and JavaScript for visualization or front-end development.
- Preferred experience with Docker and infrastructure-as-code tools such as CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
- Preferred experience with NumPy, SciPy, pandas, or pyproj for scientific or geospatial data processing.
- Preferred knowledge of shell scripting, build or deployment automation, and scientific algorithms.
