Responsibilities
- Architect and lead the planning, design, and development of new software solutions.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into software designs.
- Design and implement reusable, highly scalable, secure, performant, and maintainable services.
- Provide technical leadership to development and design teams and oversee technical aspects of projects.
- Develop technical innovations, coding standards, best practices, and technical roadmaps.
- Provide hands-on implementation support across front-end, middle-tier, back-end, infrastructure, and data stores.
- Build and troubleshoot large-scale platforms handling real-time complex transactions and distributed systems.
- Mentor software development team members and drive innovation through technology exploration and proof-of-concept work.
- Advise executives on current and future technologies and their business impact.
- Document, review, and communicate high-level and detailed software solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Typically 12+ years of hands-on object-oriented programming experience using Java, Python, and/or JavaScript UI frameworks.
- Experience architecting and designing software solutions for enterprise-wide web applications.
- Experience with cloud-native CI/CD tools and technologies, microservice architecture, and end-to-end UI/API integration.
- Knowledge of REST, gRPC, and GraphQL API protocols.
- Experience designing scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions and defining coding best practices.
- Experience with cloud services, serverless approaches, and infrastructure as code.
- Strong understanding of application security best practices and security by design.
- Experience with large-scale platforms, real-time complex transactions, and distributed-system troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, strategic planning, and team leadership abilities.
