Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, test, document, deliver, and maintain distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services.
- Translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, and supportable solutions within the overall system architecture.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design and implementation through testing, documentation, delivery, and maintenance.
- Design scalable software architecture for current and future application needs.
- Evaluate and make decisions about new and existing software products and tools.
- Use Claude for code writing, refactoring, test generation, and documentation.
- Mentor junior development engineers.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of software architecture and high-level Java programming.
- Experience with designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications, tools, and systems.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, and network design.
- Experience with AWS services including Lambda, Cognito, RDS, SQS, EC2, EKS, Step Functions, API Gateway, and VPC.
- Knowledge of AWS serverless architecture and microservices architecture.
- Experience optimizing algorithms.
- Knowledge or experience with Claude.
