Base Salary
$232k - $310k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and drive web development strategy for all frontend teams
- Improve large monorepo build and deployment systems with a focus on reliability and performance
- Architect platform, tooling, and technology decisions that support consistency and reliability
- Define and advance Affirm’s web development AI strategy using agents and agent orchestration
- Design, implement, and extend core platform components that enable new products and features
- Plan, design, and build scalable core platform software and systems
- Mentor and grow senior engineers
- Collaborate with architects and product teams across Affirm
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience architecting, building, and scaling web applications for large user bases
- Deep understanding of current and emerging web technologies, including React, TypeScript, NX, Oxlint, TurboRepo, RSPack, and Vite
- Experience creating and driving technical visions and roadmaps with system-level and platform-level impact
- Track record of leading critical projects and leveraging partner teams for company-wide results
- Extensive experience developing and implementing strategies that improve system reliability and performance
- Previous project management or people management experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Equivalent practical experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field
