Responsibilities
- Build and operate high-scale distributed systems in an enterprise environment.
- Provide architectural guidance across services and products and drive impactful technical decisions.
- Establish best practices for coding, testing, observability, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead cross-team initiatives involving performance optimization, reliability improvements, and adoption of new technologies.
- Develop reliable data tiers, APIs, and fault-tolerant systems for cloud security and networking products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience, with 6+ years of Java or Go coding experience after degree completion.
- Experience developing, integrating, and deploying software using CI/CD practices.
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure services, Kubernetes, web service frameworks, and streaming data infrastructure such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Druid, or Elasticsearch.
- Strong experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture and design patterns.
- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions within a functional domain.
- Preferred experience with Postgres, Redis, Terraform, Ansible, Neo4j, AWS Neptune, and GraphQL APIs.
- Preferred knowledge of Okta, SAML, OAuth, test automation, Python, and fault-tolerant distributed systems for networking or cloud security products.
