Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Use AI-assisted tools for code generation, refactoring, debugging, unit test creation, documentation, and code reviews.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and efficient code following engineering standards and best practices.
- Develop unit and integration tests to ensure application quality, reliability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot production defects, resolve technical issues, and optimize application performance.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver business requirements.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
- Evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security vulnerabilities, performance, and adherence to project standards.
- Ensure application components are secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 9–12 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
- Strong proficiency in Core Java, object-oriented programming, collections, exception handling, multithreading, and concurrency.
- Extensive hands-on experience with the Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
- Practical experience with AI-first development methodologies and AI-assisted software development.
- Ability to validate, test, debug, and refine AI-generated code rather than relying on unverified outputs.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot is preferred.
- Experience using Claude or similar AI assistants is preferred.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, context-driven code generation, Git-based version control, collaborative development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud-native application development is preferred.
