Base Salary
$216k - $324k/yr
Responsibilities
- Independently own and drive high-impact objectives across multiple teams.
- Ensure long-term technical health of Amplify’s systems in partnership with Engineering Managers.
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of large, multi-team initiatives.
- Make high-judgment architectural calls in ambiguous situations.
- Establish shared standards and reference implementations for team effectiveness.
- Define and communicate forward-looking technical strategy.
- Set the standard for AI-native engineering and promote responsible AI use.
- Own the response to performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
- Define operational standards including SLOs and incident response.
- Provide clear technical direction and create patterns for engineers.
- Mentor and invest in the growth of engineers across levels.
Requirements
- BA or BS Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 12+ years of experience in software development.
- Deep knowledge of computer science fundamentals and architectural patterns.
- Experience leading large, multi-team programs.
- Ability to make high-judgment architectural decisions.
- Experience defining technical strategy and roadmaps.
- Track record of redirecting teams toward higher-leverage solutions.
- Practical experience building or integrating AI-powered systems.
- Ownership of operational excellence for built systems.
- Exceptional communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Passion for mentorship and experience growing senior engineers.
