Base Salary
$160k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build the design automation pipeline that converts building designs into manufacturing-ready outputs.
- Decompose an ambiguous domain into clean, durable abstractions and validate solutions in real-world workflows.
- Design pipeline stages, intermediate representations, and verification gates that identify problems early.
- Set technical direction for design automation and raise engineering standards through reviews, standards, and mentorship.
- Use AI to develop the system and incorporate AI capabilities within the system itself.
- Collaborate with architecture, robotics, design engineering, software, factory operations, and field delivery teams to progressively automate existing workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience building production software.
- Strong software engineering experience, ideally with Go, Python, or C#, including testing, monitoring, alerting, debugging, and root cause analysis.
- Experience with cloud-native, data-centric applications and infrastructure or deployments in containerized cloud services such as EC2 and Lambda.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and the ability to create clean abstractions and deliver reliable code at scale under tight timelines.
- Experience using coding agents to build prototypes and augment daily development.
- Ability to learn new programming languages quickly.
- Experience with CAD, computational geometry, procedural or generative design, EDA, compilers, game or physics engines, or production applied AI is a preferred qualification.
- Experience with Onshape and FeatureScript, architecture or construction software, or GPU-accelerated compute is preferred.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
